Somos Buenos Aires llega al Partido de La Costa
“Somos Buenos Aires”: La UCR se junta para no extinguirse y vende humo con olor a derrota

El frente Somos Buenos Aires desembarcó en el Partido de La Costa con el apoyo de referentes como Facundo Manes, Juan Schiaretti y partidos como la UCR, el GEN, Hacemos por Nuestro País y la Coalición Cívica, buscando construir una alternativa en la política local.
La Unión Cívica Radical bonaerense acaba de publicar una carta abierta que es un monumento al eufemismo político. Un texto largo, adornado con frases huecas, diagnósticos light y cero autocrítica. Firmada por Miguel Fernández y Pablo Domenichini —dos nombres que dentro del partido suenan fuerte pero afuera no los registra ni el algoritmo de Google— la carta intenta presentar la enésima refundación de un partido que viene perdiendo votos, presencia y sentido desde hace años.
La misiva, fechada el 10 de julio en La Plata, tiene el tono de quien quiere convencer a los suyos de que todavía queda algo por hacer, cuando lo único evidente es que están tratando de evitar que la UCR se termine de convertir en un sello de goma. Hablan de “unidad”, “diálogo” y “proyecto de futuro”, pero no dicen una palabra de lo esencial: ¿para qué carajo sirve hoy el radicalismo?
La catarsis del que llega tarde y sin invitación
Desde el primer párrafo la carta ya patina. “Sabemos que no son tiempos fáciles para nuestra provincia”, dicen. Gracias, Sherlock. La provincia arde hace décadas. ¿Dónde estuvo la UCR mientras el conurbano se transformaba en una fábrica de pobres, la salud colapsaba y la educación se desmoronaba? ¿Dónde estaban cuando Vidal rifaba la gobernación al servicio del macrismo y dejaba tierra arrasada?
El texto habla de una “escucha activa” y de “un proceso de diálogo sincero” que habrían impulsado en las últimas semanas. No hay precisiones. Ni una propuesta concreta. Nada sobre inflación, inseguridad, laburo, hambre o deuda. Pero sí mucha retórica sobre “ser la alternativa que los bonaerenses necesitan”. Es decir: nada nuevo bajo el sol. La típica autocelebración de la casta política que se aplaude sola.
“Somos Buenos Aires”: ¿nuevo espacio o nuevo humo?
La carta anuncia con bombos y platillos la creación de un espacio llamado “Somos Buenos Aires”. Un título más digno de una agencia de turismo que de un proyecto político. ¿Qué es? ¿Una alianza? ¿Una lista? ¿Una señal de humo para medir si alguien les da bola? Nadie lo sabe. Lo presentan como “una forma de hacer política con diálogo y arraigo”, lo cual, en criollo, significa: “nos juntamos los que no conseguimos lugar en otros lados”.
Dicen que no quieren ser “una coalición de partidos políticos”, pero tampoco explican cómo se van a diferenciar de lo que ya existe. De hecho, los mismos que firman esta carta han sido parte del radicalismo subordinado al PRO, del radicalismo que votó leyes de ajuste, del radicalismo que estuvo más preocupado por las internas universitarias que por lo que pasaba en los barrios.
El cuento del “sentido común”
Uno de los momentos más absurdos de la carta es cuando reivindican el “sentido común” como valor político. Dicen que su espacio busca vencer “la irracionalidad, la violencia discursiva y la ineficiencia”. ¿Con qué? ¿Con discursos bien redactados? ¿Con flyers en redes sociales? ¿Con selfies en comités vacíos?
El radicalismo tiene hoy una crisis de credibilidad profunda. No tiene liderazgo, no tiene territorio, no tiene narrativa. Durante años fue furgón de cola del PRO y ahora pretende liderar desde la nada. No hay proyecto económico, no hay plan de seguridad, no hay estrategia para recuperar la provincia. Pero sí hay frases hechas, como: “una alternativa que nace de abajo hacia arriba”. ¿Abajo de qué? ¿Desde qué base? ¿Con qué estructura?
Milei, ausente con aviso
Pero lo más obsceno es el silencio. Ni una línea sobre Milei. Ni una palabra sobre el desguace del Estado, el colapso social, las universidades quebradas, los comedores cerrados, los gremios perseguidos o el país en default técnico. Nada. Cero. Silencio total. Como si la UCR viviera en una burbuja paralela donde lo único que importa es mantenerse a flote sin decir nada que moleste al poder de turno.
Este silencio no es ingenuo: es cómplice. Porque muchos radicales —incluidos los que hoy firman esta carta— siguen votando junto a La Libertad Avanza en el Congreso. Y porque saben que si rompen con Milei, se les termina hasta el café gratis en el comité.
Una carta para la interna, no para la gente
No hace falta ser un genio para entender que esta carta es, en realidad, un mensaje hacia adentro del radicalismo. Un intento desesperado de ordenar una interna en llamas, donde nadie quiere pagar el costo del derrumbe, pero todos quieren quedarse con los escombros. Con esta movida, Fernández y Domenichini intentan quedarse con la lapicera antes de que arranque el armado electoral de 2026.
Hablan de “mirar al futuro, no al pasado”. Pero el único futuro que se les vislumbra es uno con menos votos, menos poder y menos sentido. La UCR, hoy, es una marca en decadencia. Y si no tiene el coraje de romper con el pasado reciente, de hacerse cargo del desastre que ayudó a construir, de interpelar al votante que se fue a Milei o se quedó en su casa, entonces no le queda otra que seguir firmando cartas que no lee nadie.
Epílogo: si esto es lo mejor que pueden ofrecer, están en el horno
La UCR dice que quiere ser alternativa. Pero no alcanza con parecer moderado en medio del caos. Hay que tener coraje, ideas y vocación de poder. Esta carta tiene palabras lindas y muchas comas, pero no tiene ni una pizca de todo lo anterior. Si “Somos Buenos Aires” es el proyecto que tienen para salvar al radicalismo, más les vale empezar a buscar lápidas. Porque el electorado no les va a perdonar otra traición más disfrazada de unidad.
